2020: RAMM ARTIFACTS
Material selected during Covid lockdown from the extensive collection held at The Royal Albert Memorial Museum in Exeter. Images are related to chosen proverbs with significance to the troubled times in which we live.
The best of things in the worst of times Music is the moonlight in the dark night of life The one who plants the tree is not the one who enjoys the shade
2018-19: The Red List
The RSPB UK Red List keeps track of how different species are doing, and birds that are rated red are in need of urgent action. One in four of our British birds are now on that list, 67 species in total.
This extensive project, to depict each one of those 67 birds in their natural habitat, is still in progress. Many of the birds of my childhood are in danger of extinction and it is shocking to think that my grandchildren might never see them in the wild.
I have yet to complete the final series of birds that live in pastures hedgerows and orchards. My aim is to raise awareness of the plight of many of our common birds and to support the RSPB by donating a percentage of each print sold to their cause.
